Accurate Trailer Loading

These are a few examples of the reports available to your company. There are many variations on these and other reports too numerous to display each of them here.

The Shipping application as defined by ActiveApplications involves the Order Weight and Order Volume of each item on the order. The shipping theory says that if you know what each item weighs and the volume that each takes up, then you can predict the number of items that will fit on a trailer of a know size and volume capacity. Volume is sometimes called cubes. On this order I know immediately what volume and weight the order will consume.

ActiveApplications makes it easy because as items are added to the order it will do the arithmetic to track the order volume and weight. Ordinarily this becomes useful when orders are combined to make trailer loads. AA has a load build program to help you define loads. 

When the load is built the computer will know when you are going to exceed the capacity of the trailer and warn you  This is how ActiveApplications help you control your business. Now anyone can schedule loads that will actually fit on a truck. No longer will you have half full trucks or half to get an emergency shipment to someone because the truck was overloaded. How many dollars could that save you in a year? 

UDS follows several guidelines when designing reports. The amount of information that must be displayed determines the size of the report. If the necessary information can be displayed in portrait on your paper size it will. A smaller font size will be used until the type would be unreadable if made smaller. If the necessary information is too wide to fit portrait the computer will switch to landscape mode. If the required information is still too wide legal paper (8 by 14 inches) will automatically be selected in the printer. Your printer and print driver will determine how the commands are handled by your system. UDS makes it easy for you to get the information you must have.

The report samples displayed in these examples are captured directly from the report program that generates the report. Built into every UDS report is the ability to view it on the screen or place the report directly into Word or Excel format if those applications are available on your computer. Export it into one of several other file formats is available, too. 

Easy integration into Microsoft Office is a priority with UDS programming staff. You will be more productive when using Active Applications because of the Office integration features.
