Building Loads

These are a few examples of the reports available to your company. There are many variations on these and other reports too numerous to display each of them here.

The ActiveApplications order entry application calculates Order Weight and Order Volume of each order created as the items are added to the order. You can predict the number of orders that will fit onto a trailer by knowing the capacity of the trailer. Shipping Load Build lets you assign orders to a load. A load could be a days shipment or it could represent trailers of various capacities that must be delivered. It could even be a common carrier. 

Assign a trailer for this load.
 

Now assign the orders to this load by clicking on an order. The program will add up the volume and weight of the orders assigned and let you add more.
 

The order that you click on them will be the order the pick list will print in. Clicking in the right order can tell the loaders to fill the trailer in a certain order (drop sequence). 

Once the trailer is full a capacity message is displayed. Because the actual number ship weight and volume can vary slightly you may or may not want to add this order to the load. 

Once assigned to the load many things can be done with the information. Pick lists by the trailer load is just one of them. Look at some of the other features of shipping to see what might be useful to you.

UDS follows several guidelines when designing reports. The amount of information that must be displayed determines the size of the report. If the necessary information can be displayed in portrait on your paper size it will. A smaller font size will be used until the type would be unreadable if made smaller. If the necessary information is too wide to fit portrait the computer will switch to landscape mode. If the required information is still too wide legal paper (8 by 14 inches) will automatically be selected in the printer. Your printer and print driver will determine how the commands are handled by your system. UDS makes it easy for you to get the information you must have.

The report samples displayed in these examples are captured directly from the report program that generates the report. Built into every UDS report is the ability to view it on the screen or place the report directly into Word or Excel format if those applications are available on your computer. Export it into one of several other file formats is available, too. 

Easy integration into Microsoft Office is a priority with UDS programming staff. You will be more productive when using Active Applications because of the Office integration features.
