Performing an Inventory Issue to a job is very simple. At the time the item is
issued to a job the cost of the item is retrieved from inventory for accurate
reporting. To begin the process start a new job cost transaction. Add the job to the record by double clicking on the job name. Many other
methods could be used to get the job number on the transaction. It could be
keyed, the Add to button could be clicked, the job could be highlighted and
Enter pressed or the job could be dragged to the transaction and dropped. Only
ActiveApplications gives you this range of methods. In addition a large number
of import sources are allowed. Once the job number is on the transaction. Item information can be added in the same way. Key the quantity issued to the job and the cost is retrieved from the
inventory application and added to the transaction automatically. Save the transaction and ledger Work in Process entries are made if WIP is
active for this job type, the inventory updated and the cost is added to the
ledger system as a work in process entry if appropriate. The transaction is also
