There are many variations on these and other reports too numerous to display each of them here. Click on a picture to see an enlarged view There are two types of invoices that can be created during the job costing
process. They are the Fixed Price Job Invoice and The Time and Materials
Invoice. The fixed price jobs are easy to bill because detail is usually not
provided. The job has been estimated and bid as a completed package. Detail on
an invoice is usually therefore not necessary. A time and materials
invoice usually needs all of the detail because the total price consists of
lines that each have a line total. Once a billing amount has been determined for a fixed price job it is quick
to bill. The invoices can then be printed and posted if they are approved. Posting the invoices will create an invoice in receivables and update the job
information. The invoice prints automatically and can be very simple Another billing method is the time and materials proposal. This method
assumes are billing and costing the job at the same time. Although this invoice is relatively simple it illustrates another use for a
time and materials invoice. It can be used to adjust a fixed price job. In this
example it is adding one item and deleting another from a job. This invoice
tends to be more detailed. There are multiple line formats available for those
delicate billing situations too. When using ActiveApplications flexibility and function is built into every applications.
