Optional Quantity and Price Fields

These are a few examples of the reports available to your company. There are many variations on these and other reports too numerous to display each of them here.

Active Point Of Sale offers many options in setting up your system. Your needs as a company will be met with your choice of a POS system. Do you want to control your cashiers so they cannot change a price? Do you want to make it easy to change the price of an item? Do you want to make sure that every item is scanned? Do you want to make it easy to enter quantities other than one? These questions are exact opposites of each other. Yet they are all legitimate request to make of your POS software. Active Point Of Sale gives you these options and the POS screen then reflect the control file changes.

Notice that on this window the Quantity and price are both displayed in input capable.

Next change the control file to to input quantity only.

Notice that only the quantity field is visible. 

Now make only the price available in the control file

The POS window now allows you to change only the price.

The final option available to you minimizes the possibility of the cashier changing any thing because the quantity and price are both unchecked. 

The Window looks like this. You can still change the quantity by hitting the quantity key. You can change the price by hitting the discount key but it is much more inconvenient for the cashier to change those settings.

Since the discount key can be secured with a password you now can have control of the cashier. Each register could be set up differently also. Some registers and some times of the year you may need to exert maximum control. At other times your sales volume and cashier knowledge level would let you liberalize your options. UDS AA POS gives you the option. Your company can be set up your way.

UDS follows several guidelines when designing reports. The amount of information that must be displayed determines the size of the report. If the necessary information can be displayed in portrait on your paper size it will. A smaller font size will be used until the type would be unreadable if made smaller. If the necessary information is too wide to fit portrait the computer will switch to landscape mode. If the required information is still too wide legal paper (8 by 14 inches) will automatically be selected in the printer. Your printer and print driver will determine how the commands are handled by your system. UDS makes it easy for you to get the information you must have.

The report samples displayed in these examples are captured directly from the report program that generates the report. Built into every UDS report is the ability to view it on the screen or place the report directly into Word or Excel format if those applications are available on your computer. Export it into one of several other file formats is available, too. 

Easy integration into Microsoft Office is a priority with UDS programming staff. You will be more productive when using Active Applications because of the Office integration features.
